Jahzaal's first rendezvous with the art of belly dance began in 2003 with the Neena and Veena video series. Later, during a random outing in Baltimore, she had a chance encounter with the featured bellydancer performing. While the dancer was performing, she pulled Jahzaal up to dance with her. After the set was over, the dancer preceded to ask her if she was a bellydancer. Jahzaal replied "no", and the dancer then referred her the instructor named Lotus Niraja.

Since then, Jahzaal has been with Lotus and her dance school Elmishaal Dance. When she first began studying with Lotus, she studied via private lessons only. This enabled her to grasp the Middle Eastern dance technique one-on-one with her mentor and eventually began combining her lessons with public dance classes in 2004.

A growing star in her own right, Jahzaal was soon extended a formal invitation to join a new professional branch of the Elmishaal Dance called the Niraja Dance Company (The NDC). As one of the original members of The NDC, she striking performer, bringing fluidity, artistry, sensuality, and calmness to the dance and troupe. Her style has evolved into a beautiful fusion of Modern, Lebanese and Egyptian dance. She now has the role of stage manager of The NDC and works closely with Lotus Niraja. 

Since her first experience with Bellydance, Jahzaal has become a highly requested soloist and has performed at several venues including Rakkasah East and West), Artscape, parties,  The Colony South, 5 Seasons, IAMED, numerous shows, private events, and venues.  She is also an oft requested dancer at Cazbar in Baltimore.
